An historic stone cottage Strutt built circa 1827 with far reaching views

The cottage has been recently renovated and offers comfortable accommodation, ideal for short breaks ( minimum 2 nights) or longer stays. It's ideal for holidays or to use as a base when visiting the area:

Location

Milford is a village in the civil parish of Belper, in the Amber Valley district, in the county of Derbyshire, England. It is situated on the River Derwent, between Duffield and Belper , and is accessible via the A6 trunk road or the regular train service from Derby.
The Cottage was built around 1800 and has been sympathetically restored keeping much of the character
The Strutt family built the mills on the River Derwent during the industrial revolution and the area is steeped in history.
There are lots of lovely local walks and dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.
This area provides an excellent base for exploring further afield being just 35 minutes to Chatsworth and the Peak District National Park

Its worthwhile to download an ordnance maps or similar on to your phone
The walk we particularly enjoy is a circular route to Belper (Fish & chips when you get there or the Devonshire pub!!
There are lots of lovely local walks and dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.

Enjoy the warm ambiance created by the open fire, with smokeless coal supplied ( at additional cost ) , ensuring a warm and cosy atmosphere on colder evenings.
The living room is equipped with a flat-screen TV that provides access to an array of entertainment options including Netflix, Disney channels, and much more, perfect for enjoying your favorite movies and shows during a comfortable night in.
A dining table and chairs are included in the room, making it an ideal place for casual meals or for simply enjoying a cup of coffee while admiring the beautiful views.

Guests may access all parts of the cottage, with the exception of the shed. It is important to note that there is a shared path at the front of the property and steps leading up to the front door. Therefore, we kindly ask all guests to respect our neighbours and their privacy while enjoying their stay.
